MaryEllen Allen

In The Beginning…. Mary was born into a very musical family in Sudbury, Ontario. She sang her first notes at the tender age of 3 in her family room, with her mother on acoustic guitar and her brother, Rodney Alexander, on a set of paper drums. Mary performed her first paying gig in her parents’ rock and roll band at age 13. Soon after, she began tracking background vocals and recording radio jingles at a local recording studio. Throughout her years at the University of Ottawa, she continued to record vocals for local artists on a variety of demo projects.
Solo Artist……. In 1995, Mary was a semifinalist in a talent contest sponsored by the country radio station, CKBY-FM. This was the catalyst in her pursuing a side career as an artist, while she continued her career as an Elementary Teacher. Since then, Mary recorded a solo jazz album, and performed in bands such as The Prairie Dawgs and Otis 6 Pak. Throughout her career, she continued recording in studios (Wellcraft Music and Sideman Studios). In 2010, SuperFalcon, an 80’s rock band was founded. Mary’s powerhouse vocals made it possible for the band to belt out songs that were not being covered by other local bands. During a brief SuperFalcon hiatus, Mary sang lead vocals with the award-winning cover band, Bender, during their 2023 season. Today, Mary is very happy to be back in SuperFalcon, sharing the stage with the Falcons and all of their impressive talents.
Glenn Wickert
Keyboard/Vocals - Member since 2010
Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Glenn was introduced to keyboards when his mother purchased a Kawai organ for their home. Soon, Glenn was taking lessons and playing recitals.
Eventually, Glenn became influenced by the infectious synthesizer sounds of the 1980's. While working on his craft and writing songs, Glenn was approached by MaryEllen, who was looking for a keyboard player for her newly formed 80's rock band. SuperFalcon was born in 2010 with Glenn as an original member. He continues to contribute the complex layers of synthesizer required to reproduce the 80's rock genre that defines SuperFalcon's sound.
Guy Miskelly
Guitar - Member since 2023
Guy started playing guitar at the early age of 9, and it wasn't before long he was playing at high school talent shows and community events.
After high school, Guy enrolled in The Applied Music program at Mohawk College, in Hamilton Ontario.
Since graduating from Mohawk College in 1995, Guy has been busy teaching private guitar lessons at his home studio in St Thomas, Ontario, as well as playing with many different musical groups, playing styles ranging from from Country, Rock, Blues and Jazz.
Artists that Guy has performed with are Genevieve Fisher, Sarah Smith, Laura Rose, Doug Varty, Tara Oram, Karen Grainger, Jonathan Russell, as well as touring throughout North American playing at festivals and theaters with a variety of Legend shows.
Dale Penney
Drums - Member since 2024
Dale has been an accomplished drummer for upwards of 30 years! He has been a vital part of the local music scene since 1996 in a variety of capacities, including cover bands, tribute acts, and original projects. He has recorded and performed with Scott Szeryk, Doug Varty, and Nathan Ouellette. Other recording projects have included such bands as Nail, HOWZAT, and Race Against Time. Dale was also a member of CADCO, a tribute to Bad Company. Over the years, he has shared the stage with multiple cover bands and artists such as Playne Jayne, The Chris Chown Band, and many more! SuperFalcon is very fortunate to have Dale on board !! We look forward to soaring with our newest Falcon!
